Old Portsmouth walk

Come along to our historical Old Portsmouth walk, where we meet at the Garrison Church every Wednesday at 1.30pm. The walk will take you along the seafront and through the streets of Old portsmouth, where we will stop afterwards for refreshments. This is a beautiful walk which will take in wonderful sights and bring lots of conversation.

Stamshaw Foreshore Walk

Join us for our Tuesday walk from Buckland Community Centre, where we meet inside the reception area for a revitalising walk over to Stamshaw Foreshore. We walk through the green in Stamshaw, over to the foreshore where you can see views over to Portchester Castle. The walk is a flat path, with some inclines under the underpass. The walks takes approximately 70 minutes, and we finish in the Buckland Community Centre cafe for refreshments if you wish to join us.

Start:

Derby Road post office walk

Join us for our first walk of the week, meeting outside Derby road post office in northend. This a lovely gentle walk, chatting along the way and taking in the beautiful views of the shore halfway through the walk. This walk is flat paced and takes around an hour. The walk ends in a local cafe if you would like to join us for refreshments after the walk.

Seafront walk

Come and join us for our uplifting Seafront Walk, where we meet every Friday morning at 10.30am outside the Pyramid Centre. This is a moderate paced walk along the seafront, taking in the fresh sea air as we walk. This walk is a flat walk, though there are optional steps to a higher level at Grand Parade. This walk finishes in the Palmerston Road shopping area where we head for refreshments afterwards.

Canoe Lake Walk

Join us on our Canoe Lake walk, which takes place every Wednesday at 10.30am. This is a refreshing sea walk, taking in the views of the rose gardens and canoe lake.  This walk is at at a moderate pace, and takes around 50 minutes. We stop afterwards for refreshments in a local cafe or pub for tea and coffee, if you would like to join us after the walk.

Sunday Canoe Lake Walk and Talk

Come along to our new Sunday walk from Canoe Lake Cafe. We meet at 10.30am, for a walk through the rose gardens, up to the seafront and rock gardens. We will head back to Canoe Lake Cafe for tea or coffee if you wish to join us for refreshements.

Pier to pier

Come and join us on our walk where we start at South Parade Pier in Southsea. We walk along the promenade passing attractions including Southsea Castle, the D Day Museum and sights over the Solent. We walk to Clarence Pier and take a walk back from here to a local café for tea or coffee. This is a wonderful seafront walk for taking in the fresh sea air, and seeing the sights that Southsea has to offer. This is a flat path which is suitable for all abilities.

Baffins Pond Short Walk

Join us on our friendly shorter walk every Wednesday morning at 10.30am, meeting outside of the library at Baffins Pond. Baffins pond is a naturally fed pond surrounded by parkland rich in wildlife. There is plenty of seating there if you need to take a rest during the walk. We will finish the walk at the library, and we go to a local cafe for refreshments afterwards if you wish to join us. The walk takes around 45 minutes.

Baffins pond - Milton foreshore longer walk

Come and join us on our walk every Wednesday morning at 10.30am, where we meet outside of the library at Baffins Pond. Baffins pond is a naturally fed pond surrounded by parkland rich in wildlife. We will walk to Milton Foreshore which can be muddy, so please make sure you have the right footwear. We take in the invigorating fresh sea air along the shore, then head back to baffins pond. We will finish the walk at the library, and we go to a local cafe for refreshments afterwards.

Milton foreshore walk

Finish your week with a beautiful walk along Milton Foreshore, starting at the Good companion pub ion the eastern road. We meet in the car park of the pub, and walk along the green to the shore where you can see beautiful sights across the harbour and take in the fresh sea air. This walk takes around an hour and is a leisurely walk. We finish afterwards in the good companion pub for a tea or coffee if you would like to join us.

Trees in bransbury park

Park to Park Walk - Beginners

Join us on our beginners short walk from Eastney Community centre, to Milton Village hall. We take a stroll through Bransbury and Milton Park, where we stop for refreshments in a local cafe afterwards. This walk is vibrant, and we walk through lots of green, helping to get the most out of your walk for you mind and body. Ideal for beginners to walking or exercise, or those who are recovering from illness or injury. The walk takes around 30 minutes.

Blue Lagoon walk

Come and join us for our refreshing Saturday walk at the Blue Lagoon, Hilsea Lido for a lovely stroll along the promenade. The new footpath is flat and paved and goes all the way to the Mounbatten centre and back to the Blue Lagoon. This walk along the shore passes areas of new trees and shrubs. Occasional seating. We often have refreshments in the Hilsea or Cosham area afterwards.

This is one of our longest walks, and takes in the stunning sights around the harbour. If you enjoy being in nature, we highly recommend a walk around this wonderful nature reserve. Hilsea Lines - Forest walk

Come and join us on our Hilsea Lines walk, where we meet at 10:30 every Thursday. We meet at Bastion No 3 off of Scott Road for a walk through Foxes Forest. This popular walking spot includes woodland, meadows and fresh brackish lakes. There is a choice of two routes initially - One takes a higher pathway while the other remains at ground level. The two groups then meet at the picnic area and continue together eventually heading back to the starting point.  Once the walk has finished, we go for refreshments at a local café.

Photography Walkshop

Come along and join us for our monthly photography walkshop, held on the 2nd Friday of the month. We meet at Bastion Number 3, Scott Road, Hilsea for a 10.30 a.m. start. We will walk around the forest, taking photos and immersing ourselves in nature.

The walk will be led by Paul Williams, who has recently completed his photography MA and has extensive knowledge and experience of photography. Please ensure you bring a phone or camera so you can take photos as we walk through the forest. The walk can be muddy and on some uneven ground, so please wear appropriate clothing. We finish the walk at the Casemates café, if you wish to join us please bring money for refreshments. We look forward to seeing you there.

Portchester Castle Walk

Join us for our historical Portchester Castle walk, where we meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month to take a scenic walk around the castle and shoreline. Weekly walk from Beachlands Tourist office along the seafront walking on flat, gravel and beach terrain. Enjoy a variety of walks, taking in fresh air and beautiful sea views.  Refreshments after.

2 walks available, shorter slower walk covering 1 mile (approx 40 - 60 minutes) and longer, brisker walk covering 2 - 3 miles (approx 60 - 90 minutes)

Hayling Billy Line Wellbeing Walk

Join us for a sociable and friendly walk along the Hayling Billy Line.

Meet at the Hayling Oyster Beds car park behind the Esso garage PO11 1LG at 13:00. 

The walk is 2km which is just over a mile. This will be walked at a gentle pace, taking approximately 60 minutes.

The route is flat and mainly on gravel trails.

Emsworth walk

Farlington Nature Reserve

A 60-minute slow stroll suited to Walk along harbour edge to Farlington Marshes Nature Reserve & return 2½ miles, possible extension to 3 miles.  Shorter option along Solent Way available.

A 60-minute slow stroll suited to less confident walkers, mostly on flat ground and without stiles and a brisker 2½ or 3½ mile walk of between 60 and 90 minutes. This is a social walk aimed at all abilities and ages. The walks are in and around Emsworth and neighbouring villages, through countryside and along the harbour foreshore. 

Route may change at the leader’s discretion.  Post codes are a guide only.

This walk does not allow dogs.

Bidbury Mead to Farlington Marsh

Join us for a friendly weekly coastal walk, enjoying the greenery, sea and wildlife, walking from Bidbury Mead Recreational Ground to Farlington Marsh and back along the coastal path. We will meet at the Bidbury carpark, walking down Mill Road, over the A27 footbridge and along the coastal path to Farlington Marsh and then return.

Ideally we will stop midway and have a rest, please bring water or a flask of tea/coffee to enjoy, as there is no where to buy a drinks/snacks etc. .

View from North Common

North Hayling

Join us for a sociable and friendly walk to explore the footpaths of North Hayling. Meet at the Salt Shack car park, Northney Marina at 1000. 
May’s walk will be around 1.8 miles at a gentle to moderate pace, and is expected to take around 60 minutes. The route is flat and mainly on trails and grassy paths. Paths may have muddy and/or wet patches after rain.

About our group:  
The North Hayling Wellbeing Walk group meet monthly, usually on the third or fourth Friday of the month. Our walks generally last an hour to an hour and a half at a gentle to moderate pace (around 2mph). We make use of various paths in North Hayling and the West Hayling Local Nature Reserve and aim to walk a different route each month, subject to weather and underfoot conditions

Havant Heritage Trail

Join us for a sociable and friendly walk to explore part of Havant Town Centre’s Blue Plaque Heritage Trail.

Meet at the St Faiths Church, West St, Havant PO9 1LN at 13:00. 

The walk is 1.7km which is just over a mile. This will be walked at a gentle pace, taking approximately 45 minutes. This route is wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

The route is flat and mainly on pavements. There are no steps but there are some kerbs and road crossings.

Monthly walk that meets at The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, 56 East Street, PO9 1BS at 10:30am. 60 minute walk covering 1.5 miles - 2.5 miles. Terrain is flat, paved and woodland. Walkers can discover numerous footpaths around the Denmead village, This predominantly flat course takes in the wildlife and changing scenery of the Denmead area, offering some outstanding local countryside. Occasional social events after walks.
