Wellbeing Walks Portsmouth is coordinated by Portsmouth City Council Independence and Wellbeing Team and is delivered by a network of trained volunteers, offering a range of walking groups for all fitness levels.  We have walks every day of the week, with short walks starting from 30 minutes and our longest walk at 90 minutes. We lead walks across the whole of the city for free, and there are beautiful places that you may not have seen before.

Walkers join our walks for a variety of reasons, including isolation or loneliness and to get more active, along with making new friends. Our walking community is very strong in Portsmouth, and the benefits of walking are fantastic for both the mind and body. At the end of the walks, we stop for refreshments in a local cafe if you would like to join us for a social chat.

Walkers should be suitably dressed and wear flat comfortable shoes to walk in! Apart from this, you can just turn up on the day and our Volunteer Walk Leaders will make you feel extremely welcome. There is a sign up form on the website if you wish to join prior to the walk.  (Please note that walks do not take place on Bank Holiday Mondays, Good Friday or Christmas Bank Holidays).
