Overview

Join this monthly social walk for grandparents and their grandchildren through West End Park (March) park & along the riverside, all starting and finishing at March Library.

This walk is for grandparents with their grandchildren, buggies are welcome. It aims to offer grandparents a space to meet and chat with other grandparents who are looking after little ones.

There are shorter and longer routes that can be taken on this walk dependent on the weather and walkers on the day.

This walk will last for 45 minutes and will be a gentle stroll, and will depend on the speed of the walkers on the day. There are rest stop points and benches on the walk if needed.

There may be opportunity to stop at some smaller play areas and/or for some small park type games in good weather. Although adult supervision is required at all times, and grandparents remain responsible for their grandchildren at all times.

The walk will finish at the library at 10am, so grandparents can take little ones inside to the libraries Happy Baby Hour session (for children aged up to 4) or have a cuppa with others if preferred.
